Where EdgeOS goes next

Our own foundation model for the edge, agents on the node, and autonomy that can be proven. All built on the stack that runs today.

VANTAA, Finland. EdgeOS already runs on the node: detection, tracking and fusion with the network switched off, quiet by policy, and nothing lost when the link drops. This is what we are building on top of it.

Building: our own foundation model

Detection is plumbing. We are building one model for the edge that sees across cameras, drone video and other sensors, keeps one identity per real object, learns a new object type in hours, judges what is worth sending, and knows when it is unsure. It is developed and trained in-house, in Vantaa.

Next: agents on the node

Agents that reason over the fused picture and work through a fixed set of tools: task a sensor, cue another node, draft a report for the operator. Every call passes a policy gate.

Direction: assured autonomy

Acceptance of autonomy in uncrewed systems is moving fast, and it is conditional. We are building EdgeOS so that the evidence comes with the autonomy:

  • The commander sets how far a system may act, mission by mission
  • Limits live in deterministic code outside the model
  • Every decision is recorded and can be replayed
  • Every release ships with its test evidence from simulation and red-teaming

Today, EdgeOS advises and people decide. More on the technology page.

About HardpointAI

HardpointAI Oy builds EdgeOS, the operating layer for systems that must decide without the network, and the HP-FN1 nodes that carry it. The company develops, trains and builds in Vantaa, Finland, with team members in London and Stockholm.
